Tater Tot Breakfast Bowl with Sausage Gravy-
the ultimate breakfast comfort food!
Ingredients:
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
1 Ib breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a
kick)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the
frozen tater tots evenly on a baking sheet and
bake according to package instructions until
golden and crispy.
Make the Sausage Gravy.
In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Break it apart with a spatula as it
cooks. Once cooked, sprinkle the flour over the
sausage and stir to combine.
Add the Milk:
Slowly pour in the milk while continuously
stirring. Bring the mixture to a simmer and
cook for about 5 minutes, or until it thickens.
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir well to combine.
Assemble the Breakfast Bowl:
Once the tater tots are done, divide them
evenly among serving bowls. Ladle the
sausage gravy generously over the tater tots.
Add Cheese and Garnish:
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top
of the gravy and garnish with sliced green
onions.
